Water Level Sensor Information

Our water level sensor features a protective cap at the front end, designed to shield the sensor diaphragm while allowing liquids to flow smoothly into contact with it. The waterproof cable and housing are sealed for a secure connection, enabling long-term underwater use. The sensor includes a built-in micro signal processing circuit, supporting remote transmission. Our liquid level sensor offers excellent stability and reliability. It is developed using imported diffused silicon chips and low-power ADI professional chips, combined with microprocessor technology. The sensor is compact, highly accurate, and has a measurement range from 0m to 99m, with other ranges available for customization.

How does a water level sensor work?

The working principle of the water level sensor is based on the relationship between liquid hydrostatic pressure and liquid level (P = ρgH). It converts the hydrostatic pressure into an electrical signal to measure the liquid level. The cable of the water level sensor contains a vent tube connected to the external atmosphere, which measures both underwater pressure and atmospheric pressure. The water depth is then calculated based on the pressure difference.

This liquid level sensor, when connect with a monitoing host, can control the switching of water pumps and solenoid valves based on water level data set by the administrator, enabling remote automatic control.

The principle of static pressure measurement: when the liquid level transmitter is put into a certain depth of the liquid under test, the pressure formula of the sensor against the liquid level is as follows:Ρ=ρ.g.H Po formula: Pressure on
P: transmitter against liquid level
ρ: measured liquid density
g: local gravity acceleration
Atmospheric pressure on Po: surface
Depth of H: transmitter into liquid
Meanwhile, the pressure of the liquid is introduced into the positive pressure chamber of the sensor through the gas conduction stainless steel, and the atmospheric pressure Po on the liquid level is connected with the negative pressure chamber of the sensor to counteract the Po, on the back of the sensor
The pressure measured by the sensor is ρ.g.H the depth of liquid level can be obtained by measuring the pressure P.
