Siphon rain gauge
The siphon rain gauge can continuously record the amount of liquid precipitation and the number of precipitation hours, and the precipitation intensity can also be understood from the precipitation record. The siphon rain gauge is composed of a water receiver, a float chamber, a self-recording clock, and a shell. Rainwater enters the water receiver from the uppermost water-receiving port, collects through the lower funnel, and leads to the float chamber. The float chamber is composed of a cylinder equipped with afloat. The float rises with the increase of the injected rainwater and drives the self-recording pen to rise. The self-recording clock is fixed on the seat plate, and the rotating drum is driven by the clock to rotate and move so that the recording pen draws a curve on the recording paper surrounding the rotating drum. The ordinate on the recording paper records the rainfall, and the abscissa is driven by a self-recording clock to indicate the time. When the rainfall reaches a certain height (such as 10 mm), the water surface in the float chamber rises to the siphon pipe connected to the float chamber, causing the siphon to start, and the rainwater in the float chamber is quickly discharged into the water storage bottle, and the self-writing pen falls vertically on the recording paper. To the zero line position, and start the inflow of rain again and rise, so back and forth continue to record the rainfall process.
Ultrasonic Rain Gauge
According to the principle of ultrasonic distance measurement, the use of high-precision ultrasonic to detect the change of the water surface height in the rain barrel is composed of the upper and lower parts of the rain receiver, special funnel, ultrasonic distance measuring probe, barrel changing control switch, external cable, and water storage barrel. When there is liquid precipitation, the rainwater falls into the rain receiver and flows into the bucket along the wall of the water storage bucket through a special funnel, which can avoid the impact of accuracy due to the formation of water waves. According to the principle of ultrasonic distance measurement, a high-precision ultrasonic probe is selected to measure the water surface height in the rain gauge and convert it into an electrical signal output. The ultrasonic probe observes and counts the liquid level once every minute, and the data is transmitted to the host through the collector, and the computer program automatically analyzes the precipitation record to pick out the number of 5, 10…1440 minutes for 15 periods.
Tipping bucket rain gauge
The tipping bucket rain gauge is a remote electronic rain gauge instrument composed of a sensor and a signal recorder. The sensor is composed of a water receiver, an upper tipping bucket, a metering tipping bucket, a counting tipping bucket, and a reed switch. The recorder consists of a counter, a recording pen, and a self-recording device. Clock, control circuit board, and other components. Its working principle is: rainwater enters the water receiver from the uppermost water-receiving port, falls into the water-receiving funnel, and flows into the tipping bucket through the funnel mouth. When the accumulated water reaches a certain height (for example, 0.1 mm), the tipping bucket loses balance and overturns. And every time the bucket dumps, the switch turns on the circuit and sends a pulse signal to the recorder. The recorder controls the self-recording pen to record the rainfall so that the rainfall process can be measured back and forth.
